When providing our services, we process your personal data. To inform you how we handle your personal data, we have prepared this privacy statement. This statement is a brief summary of our privacy regulations.

What personal data do we process?

Connata mainly obtains your personal data from yourself, for example, the information you provide via email, phone, website, registration form, intake. Additionally, in the context of our services, personal data may be obtained through third parties.  This includes personal data such as name, first names, initials, titles, gender, address, postal code, city of residence, email address, phone number, business bank account number, and similar data intended for communication. It also includes data that is important for providing appropriate services to you and data whose processing is legally necessary in the context of our services.

For what purpose do we process your personal data?

Connata processes your personal data for various purposes, such as:

  • Maintaining contact
  • Providing good and efficient services
  • Management of the client database
  • Invoicing and accounts receivable management
  • Compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

On what basis do we process your personal data?

We primarily process your personal data to fulfill the agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. Connata also processes personal data because there is a legitimate interest, such as:

  • Providing our services in the most efficient way possible
  • The improvement of our services
  • Security and management of our systems.

If your personal data is processed based on consent, you will be asked separately.

Are your personal data shared with third parties?

In the context of its services, Connata may exchange your personal data with third parties, such as IT suppliers of websites and systems. These third parties may only process the personal data for the aforementioned purposes. Your personal data may also be provided to third parties when we must comply with a legal obligation. We will not provide your personal data to third parties for commercial or charitable purposes.

Is your personal data transferred outside the EEA?

The EEA is the European Economic Area, consisting of the countries of the European Union, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Iceland. Within the EEA, there is good protection for personal data; outside of it, this is not always the case. Your personal data is generally not processed outside the EEA unless there are sufficient safeguards that comply with European privacy regulations.

How long is your personal data retained?

Connata does not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the execution of the services, and at least as long as necessary to comply with its legal obligations.

Are your personal data secured?

Connata secures all personal data. This is to prevent your personal data from being accessed or modified by someone who does not have the right to do so. We have established a specific policy for this in the form of the Information Security and Privacy Policy.

Are cookies placed?

Cookies are placed for the proper technical functioning of our website. Through cookies, your IP address and the system information of your device are processed. This allows us to improve the technical operation of our web applications. Any cookies placed are not used to extract, store, or exploit personal information.

What rights do you have?

You have the right to access, take along, rectify, or delete your personal data. You can submit a request for this both in writing and via email to Connata. If your request is not followed up, you have the option to object to the data protection officer (DPO) of Connata via servicedesk@connata.nl. If you cannot resolve this together with us in this way, you also have the right to file a complaint with the privacy supervisor, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP).
